On Sunday morning, July 11, we were honored to have Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck as our special guest during the 11 am service. Chief Beck brought words of greeting and then we were privileged to pray for our Chief and those who serve our city so diligently in law enforcement.
A 33-year veteran of the department, Beck was appointment Chief in 2009. As believers, we take seriously the biblical admonition found in 1 Timothy 2 to pray for those in authority, so that “we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.” The Bible also tells us that praying for our leaders is “good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior”… so we do it!
Please continue to pray for Police Chief Charlie Beck and the men and women of the various law enforcement agencies serving our city and county.
