NAOMI BEARD NAMED DIRECTOR OF WOMEN’S MINISTRIES
Today, I am thrilled to announce that Naomi Beard is joining our pastoral staff as Director of Women’s Ministries! For those who have had the opportunity to interact with her, it would not be an overstatement to say that she is one of the most servant-hearted and peaceful human beings God has ever created. Yet, in all her meekness and gentleness, one will also find a very capable and talented leader.
Earlier this year, we were blessed as Naomi shared with the women of our congregation at the annual Spring Brunch. For many, it was the first time to have experienced her ministry. Yet, what many do not know is that Naomi has never been a stranger to The Church On The Way! Prior to her move to the East Coast, where she has been serving the Lord for the last many years, she served on our pastoral staff for more than 20 years in a variety of capacities, and under her leadership the lives of many were transformed.
As you will soon realize, Naomi Beard is a gifted communicator, musician, visionary leader, and people mobilizer. She’s also a true friend to Alice and me. I am so grateful that she has accepted the Lord’s call onto our pastoral team. Now, in the words of the Apostle Paul, please “receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and assist her in whatever business she has need of you; for indeed she has been a helper of many and of myself also.” Please welcome Naomi Beard to The Church On The Way!
