The release of ministry in the Body of Christ is Ken and Mary Anne’s passion in ministry; their goal—to bring people to a knowledge of who they are in Jesus with an understanding of what they have been given so they can give it to others. They believe that one of the greatest joys in life is to understand your God-given call and purpose for being here, and they long to lead believers to a place of being able to access their riches in Christ.
Since 1972, Ken and Mary Anne have served in various ministry positions. They served on staff at The Church On The Way for several years, developing and teaching seminars on spiritual gifts and ministries, and various other subjects. Other places they’ve served are La Crescenta, CA; Leesburg, VA; Washington, D.C.; Foothill Ranch, CA. Ministry training (other than “on the job”!) was at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana; Christian Training Center in Visalia, CA. They have also ministered around the World, including Indonesia, Bolivia, Peru, Israel, Germany, Switzerland, Austria.
They are also the founders of Heartgate International Ministries (HIM) which focuses on releasing God’s purpose in the believer through (1) discovering the gift - the call, (2) cultivating the gifts – the spiritual gifts, and (3) becoming a gift – the fruit of ministry.
They are both gifted teachers and their depth and insight in the Word will challenge and inspire those who hear them to search the Scripture with fresh eyes. They presently serve on the pastoral staff of The Church On The Way. At one time, Ken had studied to be a concert pianist and still enjoys playing the piano in his spare time. A guiding word in both of their lives is based in 2 Timothy 2:2, and keeps them focused on reproducing the life of God in believers: “Success without a successor is failure.”
