Pastor Dan & Brenda Hicks believe in people! Dan says, “I believe that in God’s Kingdom, there are no insignificant people. Every person is one of invaluable worth. Deep in the heart of every person is a desire that God has placed there. Getting them in touch with that is the secret to their fulfillment in life.”
Dan Hicks has been in ministry since 1974. He has a B.A. from LIFE Bible College, and an M.A. from Oral Roberts University. He has served as a youth pastor, assistant pastor, and senior pastor at churches in San Diego; Lubbock, TX; Garland, TX; The Church On The Way, and San Antonio. He has also ministered in over 20 countries at pastors conferences, and church leadership conferences, as well as in the local churches. He has written extensively for magazines, and was a contributor to the Hayford Bible Handbook. Denominationally, he has served as a divisional superintendent over a number of churches, and he currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Foursquare Church.
Brenda is also an ordained minister and has served in every area of church leadership, from conference speaking to children’s ministries, from counseling to music. While on staff at The Church On The Way in the past, she served in counseling, women’s ministries, and baby dedications. Brenda has a passion to see the ways of the Lord passed on to the next generation, and her practical approach to life in Jesus enables people to go and live it for themselves. In her spare time, Brenda likes to read and spend time with her grandchildren. Dan is a true outdoorsman; but his latest spare time activity is to spend time with and on his motorcycle! A guiding word in Dan’s life came from one of his college professors: “Who you are is God’s gift to you. What you make of yourself is your gift to God.”
